Teaching Artists
The Milwaukee Youth Theatre (MYT) seeks
Teaching Artists for its 2013 Summer
Programs and 2013-2014 Season. A flexible
schedule is required with daytime
availability. Qualified candidates will have
at least one year of experience working
with children of a variety of ages in formal
and/or informal settings. Experience
teaching theatre and drama to a variety of
ages groups is highly desired. Lesson plan
development and theatre production
experience also desired. Most school year
teaching opportunities take place during
the school day in classrooms throughout
the Milwaukee area, especially the
Milwaukee Public School District and
Lincoln Center of the Arts Middle School.
Summer program consists of week-long
camps and weekend workshops at the Bay
View Community Center. Teaching Artists
are responsible for transportation to and
from classrooms and facilities. Applicants
are paid on a per workshop basis at a
competitive rate.

Student Stage Managers
MYT is looking for responsible students
between the ages of 14 and 18 to serve as
stage managers for each show. This will be
a wonderful learning process for students
interested in tech and what needs to
happen backstage in order for a show to
run smoothly. This person will be
responsible for running the show during
tech week and performances. Applications
will be available at auditions.
