Therese Burazin – Artistic Director
Therese has been the Artistic Director for
the Milwaukee Youth Theatre the past
eighteen years. She has directed and
written plays with children for over 25
years. She also is an instructor for the
Schauer Arts Center in Hartford, and
recently directed 101 Dalmatian, Disney's
Kids. Other directing credits include
multiple comedic productions for Fond du
Lac Community Theatre, and classic
childrens' literature productions such as
Secret Garden and Best Christmas Pageant
Ever for FDL Area Home School Drama
Troupe. Her proudest play-writing
accomplishments were when she produced
and directed two original cabarets for
adults, Whether or Not and Home for the
Holidays, at the Windhover Art Center in
FDL, (recently renamed the Thelma.)

Brandon Herr - Associate Artistic Director
Brandon is a graduate of the University of
Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, with a
Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts. By day,
he works at the Schauer Art Center in
Hartford as their Events Coordinator.
After graduation, he worked at the
American Players Theatre in Spring Green,
Wisconsin as a Production Assistant and
the Assistant Company Manager. Brandon
moved to Milwaukee in October of 2011
and began working with the Milwaukee
Youth Theatre as a Director. Brandon has
co-directed Shakespeare's Comedies. He
has also been the lead director for both
The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe,
and Charlotte's Web.

Greg Davis - Artistic Associate / Technical
Greg has worked backstage or behind the
scenes all over Milwaukee including with
Chamber Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre,
Boulevard Theatre and First Stage. He has
been with MYT for eight years. Greg's
show highlights have been: Rent, Present
Laughter, The Producers, The Last Five
Years, Anything Goes, The Mikado, A
Water Bird Talk and Gianni Schicchi. His
favorite Milwaukee Youth Theatre
productions have been Charlotte's Web,
You're a Good Man Charlie Brown
(Director), and The Lion, the Witch and
the Wardrobe.

Brittany Curran – Education Outreach
Coordinator / Director
Brittany is a recent graduate of the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a
BFA in Acting and a minor in Creative
Writing. She most recently portrayed Oldie
Momma in UWM’s production of Gint. Her
past University acting credits include
Marisol (June), King Lear (Cordelia), and
The Nature of Mutation (Josie/Whizmo.)
She also was the understudy intern for
Renaissance Theaterworks’ production of
the one-woman show The Belle of Amherst
(Emily Dickinson.) Brittany been on MYT
staff for three years directing and
teaching classes. She recently directed
Still Life with Iris, co-directed
Shakespeare's Comedies, and served as
assistant director for School House Rock.

Judy Swanson - Administrative Assistant /
Volunteer Coordinator
Judy has been working as the
Administrative Assistant since 2011, with,
her involvement stretching several years
earlier, when her sons participated in
MYT's productions. This participation led
to her volunteering in a variety of ways
and becoming a Board member. Her
administrative duties include
communication with parents, school
groups and the public. Judy
enthusiastically jumps in wherever
needed, frequently lending a hand with
props, costumes and painting set pieces.   
After seeing the accomplishments her sons
have made with the organization, she
remains committed to Milwaukee Youth
Theatre's future.

Ashlea Wleklinski – MYT Teaching Artist /
Ashlea is a local teaching artist and
director who works for several
organizations in the Milwaukee area. She
is also a special education teacher who
strongly believes in the integration of
theater to empower students with vast
learning and social needs. Most recently
she has worked with First Stage Children's
Theatre as an instructor. Some of her
acting credits include Hamlet
(Rosencrantz) in a Co-op performance in
Milwaukee and acting in Quilters (Jenny)
for Acacia Theatre. Ashlea was co-director
for The World Beyond the Door: Folktales
from Around the Globe this Spring and
assistant director for MYT's Phantom
Tollbooth this past Fall.

Harmonie Baker – Costumer
Harmonie is a fiber artist who primarily
worked in weaving and quilting before
turning her hands to sewing costumes. She
worked for five years on the Board of
Directors for ABK Weaving Center where
she created and curated an annual fiber
arts show entitled “Warped Milwaukee”.
She has also started an after school
program that teaches sewing to middle
school students. She has taught weaving
camps and workshops within Milwaukee
Public Schools and is passionate about
bringing the arts to children who live in
the inner city.

Lauren Ashley – Choreographer / Teaching
Lauren is a Milwaukee native and MYT
Alumna, performing in Dracula when she
was a young teen and Winter Tales a
collaboration between Milwaukee Youth
Theatre and Milwaukee Public Theatre (as
a duck) when she was a young child. She
has choreographed nearly two dozen
productions and appeared on stage in
many more. Lauren is Founder and
President of Urban Arts Exposure Dance
Studio. She is excited to share her
knowledge, training and love for the Arts
with Milwaukee Youth Theatre's next
generation of performers.

Dan Tellez - Teaching Artist / Director
Dan is currently a Junior majoring in
Musical Theater at the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is thrilled to be
working at MYT, having grown up doing
children's theater in his home town. Dan is
an actor who has performed at the
University, local Community Theaters,  
and in his home town of Marinette. He
also dabbles with technical aspects of
theater. He is an amateur light and sound
designer.  Dan has worked as a free-lance
choreographer for several organizations,
choreographing from musicals to State
show choirs. This Fall he will be Directing
and Choreographing " Disney's The Little
Mermaid Jr.", the first show of the
Milwaukee Youth Theatre's 23rd Season.

Samantha Martinson - Teaching Artist /
Samantha's past acting work includes: The
World's Stage’s Seminar (Kate), Playhouse
on Park’s Theatre Uncut, HartfordStage
(staged readings), Milwaukee Chamber's
YPF in Stitches (Temple), Pink Banana's
(One Acts), TWS’ Professor Lonsdale
(Ember) and The Pillowman (Mothers).
This past year, Samantha worked for
Hartford Stage’s Education Department in
CT. Samantha is the Education Assistant
at Milwaukee Chamber, an adjunct
teaching artist for Milwaukee Rep and
First Stage, as well as Lake Valley Camp's
Lead Instructor for their theater program,
